A Bit About Me

For the past several years, I've balanced my time between design and coding—creating marketing collaterals, coding emailers, and building landing pages and applications. My passion has always oscillated between the creative and analytical sides of my brain, but now I'm ready to fully embrace web development at a higher level. The combination of both has fueled my desire to build more complex, full-fledged applications.

Having worked as a website specialist for two years, I'm focused on expanding my expertise in full-stack web development, with a particular emphasis on the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) and other modern web technologies. This journey lets me merge creativity with logic, allowing me to craft immersive user experiences while solving technical challenges.

Web Dev & UI/UX Design

I love to explore, observe, and learn. While working in marketing communications, my interest began in graphic design and naturally progressed into UI/UX design, where I focus on creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. Over time, I've expanded my expertise into web development, with a commitment to building responsive, accessible, and engaging websites and applications.

With a solid foundation in both design and development, I'm driven to create cohesive digital experiences. My background in graphic design informs my UI/UX work, while my focus on user experience ensures that functionality and ease of use are at the forefront. Whether I’m refining the look and feel of a site or engineering its backend, my approach always prioritizes the needs and behaviors of the end user.

Personal Interests

I love the outdoors, spending weekends exploring parks, lakes, and random spots I discover on Google Maps. I don't always follow guides or popular attractions—rather, I let the green and blue areas on the map lead me to new, often hidden, natural spaces.

When indoors, I enjoy playing badminton to stay active, and recently, I've taken up woodworking for its hands-on creativity. I also love experimenting with graphic design trends, especially in vector art, and have been into blogging lately, sharing my thoughts on various topics. I'm passionate about helping others get into web development and conduct introductory coding workshops to encourage aspiring developers. And when I need to unwind, I enjoy diving into the rabbit holes of YouTube.

Coders' Quiz

A full-stack web application providing a free tool to new developers to learn various coding topics. It presents questions on a selected topic in a responsive and assistive quiz environment setup and gives downloadable and emailable feedback. Also, comes with a quizmaster control to do CRUD on the question bank.

A volunteer project for a responsive website mockup. It was proposed to a small business in the food delivery industry. The website could not be implemented as during pandemic the business got shut down in 2020.

Testimonial Grid

Testimonial Grid

A Frontend Mentor Challenge project which tests CSS Grid skills. The requirement is to create a HTML section and apply CSS to make it look exactly similar to a given design input and the page should also behave responsively.

A number guessing game that responds to user input - with a 'too high' or 'too low' feedback until either the user guesses the number correctly or number of chances expire. The game also keeps current score and high score for the user for the current session.

A classic electronic memory game, where players are challenged to remember and repeat increasingly complex sequences of lights and sounds. The game randomly plays a sequence of tones, and the player must replicate the sequence by pressing the buttons in the same order.
